Split Rock Athletics’ mission is to provide advanced instruction that is centered around teaching life skills.

Brandon Swartz, Owner and Director of Hitting and Mark Moriarty, Director of Pitching, are passionate about working with athletes and strive to help them obtain their goals on and off the field. All instructors have played and coached at the collegiate level and are able to assess hitters and pitchers by identifying their natural strengths and recommending mental and physical adjustments to assist players in reaching their full potential.

With more than 35 years of combined experience working with hitters and pitchers of all ages and skill levels, we provide state of the art instruction to our clients. Our experiences in a variety of coaching environments, from youth baseball and softball to college, team training to one-on-one development, give us a unique perspective in teaching techniques that help players achieve the success they desire. Training with hitters using a collaborative approach sets them up for success at their current level of play while paving the way for their success at the next level. Our hitters will work on timing, adjustability, strike zone coverage and tapping into their subconscious state of mind. Our goal is for hitters to step in the box free of distractions and full of confidence. When training pitchers we take an advanced approach, which includes a warm up, individualized throwing programs and arm care, to help pitchers move more efficiently, throw harder and take ownership of their development.

“Brandon has an amazing ability to decipher, interpret and communicate complicated hitting fundamentals in a simplistic manner. He cares deeply about the development of his clients and their success. He is a pro in every sense of the word.“
